Choreographic Works

As a Choreographer, I enjoy exploring new, honest ways of movement that reflect my source of inspiration; a concept, a piece of music, or a prompt. In addition, I am inspired by contemporary, modern, release technique, pedestrianism, and jazz. I prioritize conversations about the work with my dancers, and explaining my choices to them so that they may be further connected to the work.

I believe that every dancer brings something unique and beneficial to the table. Bringing all of their past experiences to a work is part of what makes a piece great. I choose to work with dancers who have total body awareness and strive for holistic movement. Emphasizing the physicality of emotions over the melodramatic, and understanding the importance behind each small gesture–nothing is thrown away.I let whatever phase of life I am in inspire me. Whatever question or situation I may be dealing with, I explore through choreography and each dancer’s relation to each other.
